Schoolhouse transformed into two homes is for sale with a price tag of £130k - but there's a catch
A vintage educational structure is now listed for sale as two residences — however, their appealing cost includes a caveat.
The old school building close to Worcester is up for sale as two linked houses priced at £130,000.
The initial one – somewhat ironically named Number 2 – features a covered porch, corridors, a reception area, a kitchen, a bathroom, and two bedrooms.
Although the second one, referred to as Number 3, includes a reception room, kitchen area, hallway, shower room, and three bedrooms, along with a garden space.
In addition, neither of these houses provides much more beyond that.
Bare floorboards, flaking wallpaper, and a partially renovated kitchen are being sold as nothing short of a renovation project waiting for someone to take it on.
Stairs with the carpet notably ripped up and water stained cupboards were also on show.
The sales brochure admitted that both 'are in need of improvement works throughout' but did have electric heating and double glazing.

Jonathan Hackett, consulting director at Bond Wolfe, informed Worcester News: "The two unoccupied, side-by-side houses were created from the transformation of an old school building several years back."
Item number two features a covered porch, an entrance hallway, a reception area, an interior hallway, a kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom equipped with a shower on the lower level. There is also a landing and a secondary bedroom located on the upper level.
'Item number 3 features an entryway, a bathroom equipped with a toilet, a hallway, a living area, and a combined dining and kitchen space on the first level. Upstairs, there’s a landing leading to three bedrooms.'
The exteriors feature gardens, and the properties come with electric heating and double glazing; nonetheless, they require improvements across the board.
The Acton Green property will be up for auction on May 15.
This follows closely after another peculiar dwelling was listed for sale in Swanage, Dorset just last week.
A previously used police station hit the market at £1.2 million, featuring its original reception area and booking rooms along with several cell areas equipped with wooden bunks.
In the property listing, estate agents have characterized it as an 'outstanding redevelopment site,' noting that it has approval for transforming the space into three three-bedroom apartments and three four-bedroom residences.

The listing continues as follows: 'The property is located on a notable plot approximately one-third of a mile away, at street level, from both the town center and the beach.'
Swanage is located at the easternmost point of the Isle of Purbeck, charmingly positioned amidst the Purbeck Hills.
'It has a fine, safe, sandy beach, and is an attractive mixture of old stone cottages and more modern properties, all of which blend in well with the peaceful surroundings.
'Southward lies Durlston Country Park, famous as the entrance to both the Jurassic Coast and the World Heritage Coastline.'
This station adds to the roster of strange items that have been put up for auction and is certainly not the strangest among them.
As earlier reported, an old surveillance bunker from the Cold War era located near the boundary of the royal property in Sandringham, Norfolk, was put up for auction last month.

The Dersingham Royal Observer Corps station was formerly part of an extensive network of lookout points across the nation. These stations were built as part of an early warning system designed to identify approaching nuclear assaults and determine their effects.
The Dersingham post is located within the grounds on the north-east side of Chalk Pit Road and remains in good condition.
The structure was constructed in 1957 and comprises two parts: an exposed concrete observation hut atop the surface and a concealed bunker beneath the earth.
Due to the increased risk of nuclear conflict back then, both constructions were finished off.
