LEGO Legends: F1 Drivers Roll Into Miami GP in Full-Size Brickmobiles
Formula 1 continues to come up with inventive ways of building up its American fanbase as it replaced the traditional driver parade truck for the Miami Grand Prix with bespoke LEGO cars.
Each team has its own fully driveable, close to full-scale LEGO replica that the 20 drivers will complete the parade lap with ahead of Sunday’s race.
Built as close to their real-life equivalents as possible, each car was made using close to 400,000 LEGO bricks and are in the individual colours of the teams, with the correct livery and corresponding sponsors included.
The cars will complete a full 5.4km lap of the track at Miami Gardens as part of F1’s multi-year partnership with LEGO, which was announced in September.
When speaking on the occasion, LEGO Group’s Chief Product and Marketing Officer, Julia Goldin stated: "The LEGO Group takes pride in our extensive history of recreating numerous F1 vehicles using LEGO bricks. We think this fresh collaboration, via LEGO play and construction, aims to make the excitement of this sport more accessible to every fan."
It will allow them to enjoy their love for the sport in deeper and more thrilling ways, showcasing how LEGO creativity and imagination can further intensify the excitement of Formula 1.

We're excited to reveal everything this thrilling collaboration will bring to both dedicated and newFormula 1 and LEGOfans around the world and at races.
That peak of enthusiasm was reached with figures like Lewis Hamilton , Max Verstappen and Lando Norris took to the track in LEGO versions of their cars, each weighing 1000kg and capable of speeds up to 20kph from their electric power units, running on authentic Pirelli tyres.
The drivers appeared to be quite taken with the LEGO machinery as they entered the grid after a heavy rainstorm.
George Russell playfully mentioned that he enquired whether he could utilize them as "bumper cars" prior to half of the grid driving their teammates around to greet the spectators.
Several efforts were made to surpass others as the cutthroat spirit of the competitors seemed ready to dominate.
Lewis Hamilton stated, 'That was the most entertaining driver’s parade we've ever experienced; there was some rough driving out there—it was fantastic!' Max Verstappen chimed in, saying, 'I believe they’ll need to give the track a thorough cleaning because there seems to be plenty of LEGO pieces scattered around! Our top speed wasn’t quite up to par, so our pace slowed down gradually. However, ensuring the track gets cleaned properly should take priority over everything else.'
Inspired by the LEGO F1 Speed Champions series, every vehicle was crafted by a group of 26 designers and engineers at the firm’s facility in Kladno, located in the Czech Republic.
