Our Neighbor’s Monstrous New Home: A Scandal Next Door!
Locals have harshly criticized a 'monstrosity' house that is being built and threatens to ruin their breathtaking views of an expanse of moorland.
Residents have labeled the choice to permit the new construction project in the town of Blackrod, Greater Manchester, as 'insane.'
A lot of residents who have been living in this location for over five decades mentioned that the new building would obstruct their view of the picturesque Rivington Pike hill in the vicinity.
However, the construction close to the scenic overlook was endorsed by Bolton Council, even though there was strong local resistance and protests from Blackrod Town Council.
Retired security guard Vincent Walden, 88, who has resided in his home with his spouse Gladys for 65 years, stated: "This idea is crazy."
'We love the view It's now up to Rivington Pike from our garden, but this would ruin it. The council’s choice to proceed with construction is sheer lunacy.
'It is extremely distressing. It will be terrible once it’s constructed.'
The builders are presently at work on the location, which comprises two formerly distinct parcels of land acquired by Barry Jackson — he declined to speak about the controversy surrounding it.

Startling photos reveal an impressively big construction project looming dangerously near to a neighbor's boundary.
At this initial phase, it creates a shadowy blotch over the neighboring plot that would otherwise be bathed in sunlight.
However, the planning officer handling the application for the development stated in their report that the proposals adhere to the specified limitations regarding building height as well as the distance from an adjacent property.
Ms. Lisa Eatock, Mr. Walden's neighbor who is 52 years old, commented: "This is such an absurd choice for construction in this area. It will spoil our magnificent vista and seems completely incongruous with the surroundings."
David Anderton, aged 75, stated: "This is an absurd choice, permitting such an eyesore."
We are all upset because it will ruin our vista. This should have never been permitted.
Rivington Pike has for many years been a favored spot for hiking enthusiasts, offering views of landmarks such as Blackpool Tower, the Cumbrian Fells in the Lake District, and sometimes even the Isle of Man when the weather cooperates.
Previously home to a beacon, this hilltop – which can be seen from Blackrod, merely a 20-minute drive distant – currently features a historically significant Grade II-listed tower constructed in 1733 as a hunting retreat.

However, the latest construction now jeopardises the picturesque views for residents in Blackrod, according to IT professional Christine Dixon, aged 57, who stated: "A majority of people have raised objections against it."
'The size is simply disproportionate and doesn’t match the surroundings.'
'This will completely spoil the vistas towards the moors for many individuals and will lead to traffic and accessibility issues.'
Her neighbour Joan Calderbank, 77, said: 'It's a mad decision to allow this. We have a stunning view but that is going to be ruined.
'It's a pretty depressing thing to have happened.'
Student Jess Dobson, 28, said: 'I'm shocked by the scale of it. It's like another huge house. I thought it was just going to be an extension.
'The parking round here [is already bad] and the noise is only going to get worse.
Independent Blackrod town councilor John Price stated: "This is an outrageous ruling. Despite our objections, Bolton Council gave approval."

I sympathize with the residents. They are wonderful folks, yet they believe their opinions have simply been overlooked.
'A number of individuals will now have others peering into their bedrooms.'
'There is little chance of it being overturned at this point.'
It's really disappointing that the beautiful vistas looking toward Rivington will be spoiled for so many folks.
A mother who has two young daughters remarked, "This is absurd. We will need to keep the curtains in our daughters' bedroom shut."
'Many individuals are quite displeased with the decision.'
The Bolton Council has been asked for their input.
